Job Description

Degree in relevant discipline / Dip. / B.Tech (Mech.)
Knowledge of Hammer and Press Forging Processes etc.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the tool room, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and timely completion of tasks.
Supervise tool room technicians and other staff, providing leadership, guidance, and support as needed.
Plan and prioritize work orders, schedules, and assignments to meet production demands and deadlines.
Coordinate with production and maintenance departments to ensure availability and proper maintenance of tools and equipment.
Oversee tool inventory management, including procurement, storage, organization, and tracking of tools and spare parts.
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and prolong tool lifespan.
Troubleshoot tool-related issues and implement corrective actions as needed to minimize disruptions to production.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines in the tool room, promoting a culture of safety awareness among staff.
Train tool room staff on proper tool usage, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to tool inventory, maintenance activities, and work orders.
Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
