Job Description
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of auto components and related materials.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish favorable terms and conditions to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier capabilities and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to align procurement activities with business objectives and production schedules.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay abreast of industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions, and proactively address potential risks and opportunities.
- Lead cost reduction initiatives through supplier negotiations, value engineering, alternative sourcing strategies, and process improvements to achieve cost savings targets.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier performance metrics, and prepare reports for management review and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards in all procurement activities, including supplier selection, contracting, and supplier diversity initiatives.
- Develop and mentor procurement staff, provide guidance and support, and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the procurement team.
- Stay updated on best practices, emerging technologies, and innovations in procurement and supply chain management, and recommend and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
