Production Manager

Job Description

• Develops and executes in partnership with designer styles from initial concept to production
• Develops and sources in partnership with designer fabric and trims
• Manage all samples to ensure their movement through the product development process in coordination with the development calendar
• Work with factories to achieve desired cost and margin goals without compromising design
• Travel to factories as needed to review seasonal development progress
• Strategically manage vendors to make sure sample deadlines are met
• Strategically manage in partnership with design bill of material (BOMs), fabric and trim, issuing trials, tests, and color approvals
• Build and maintain development calendar, and cost charts for all categories
• Identify and troubleshoot costing/quality control challenges along with design and resolve with vendors
• Negotiate best cost with vendors
